Tetra Tech's commitment to hiring the best talent in the industry and helping them thrive professionally is stronger than ever. We are currently seeking a Project Manager/Senior Environmental Scientist for our New York, NY office.


  • Manage and/or coordinate the development of proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing materials and submittals designed to better position the company to acquire project work from new and existing clients.
  • Develop specific client targets, complete peer-reviewed capture plans, and play a lead role in implementing these plans.
  • Manage individual projects and/or major programmatic contracts.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and client focus on the execution of project work.
  • Provide technical input to project tasks.
  • Serve as mentor to others with less experience and/or qualifications in their technical field of expertise and aid in their professional development.


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in applicable field (geology, biology, chemistry, ecosystem management, natural resources management/planning, or a closely related discipline).
  • 8 to 10 years of experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance/permitting processes and documentation.
  • A thorough understanding of the implementation of financial, change, and cash management principles as they relate to the projects they manage or support.
  • An in-depth understanding of the local and regional Metro NY/NJ area for the purpose of identifying new business opportunities.
  • Technical writing/editing ability, good interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills, and exceptional attention to details, planning and organizing, and quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; and
  • Familiarity with NYC government agencies.
