Position Overview
The Billing Specialist will be responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of entering tickets, in multiple computer systems for multiple companies. The Billing Specialist will also be responsible for providing support for Internal and External Customers.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
Accurately apply billing for multiple companies.
Provide inventory entry in multiple computer systems.
Work closely with the Billing Department to help resolve invoice issues.
May prepare various daily, weekly, or monthly reports.
Follow-up with assigned customers on past due invoices, reconciliation issues, etc.
Work closely with Billing Department to process month end reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complete project work as assigned
Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Education/Experience
Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years related work experience preferred, but not required.
Work Requirements
Must be 18 years in age or older.
Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Strong oral and written communications and problem solving skills.
Must display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
Must have the ability to work without close supervision.
Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Be able to work overtime when required
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
Strong Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with management.
Ability to operate office equipment including, but not limited to: computers, copiers, ten key adding machine, printers, etc.
Ability to analyze issues independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
Knowledge and/or previous related experience in financial accounting environment preferred.
Ability to perform under deadline pressure.
Basic typing skills.
