The Manager, School Operations Compliance provides compliance support to managed schools within the virtual school program. This role is responsible for leading specific compliance reviews/processes to ensure that schools are meeting all district partner and state requirements as per the Texas Administrative code, as well as review all TEA communication to track and communicate changes to the schools.

  • Provide compliance guidelines to the managed virtual school programs;

  • Effectively influence internal and external stakeholders to successfully follow compliance guidelines for federal, state and local requirements;

  • Review all state requirements per the Texas Administrative code to ensure that schools have implemented all requirements, and if not, create a remediation plan;

  • Review district board policies for all schools and gather evidence that schools are following, and if not, create a remediation plan.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 3-6 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 


  • Bachelor’s Degree(s) AND

  • Five (5) years of related experience INCLUDING at least three (3) years of virtual school operations experience AND

  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience OR

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience

Certificates and Licenses: None required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 


  • Ability to create compliancy programs from the ground up

  • Excellent time-management skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; Web proficiency

  • Database experience

  • Ability to travel 15% of the time

  • Ability to clear required background check

  • Ability to learn and experience using varied, fast changing systems.

  • Strong initiative and innovative leadership

  •  This position is virtual and strongly prefer residents of Texas. May consider residents of surrounding states. 

 Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level.  Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections.  Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.  


  •  We anticipate this position will pay between $52, 207 to 112, 834. Eligible employees may receive a bonus. This salary is not guaranteed, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Stride offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
