Coke Florida is looking for an Environmental Health Safety Sustainability Program Manager based out of our Tampa location.

What You Will Do: The Environmental Health Safety Sustainability Program Manager is responsible to lead and manage employee health and safety programs, and facility environmental processes, within Production and Distribution Facilities and our Sales and Equipment Services team. This role is responsible for providing data retrieval and analysis for the EHSS department. In addition, this role will be tasked with the development and deployment of relevant Safety and Environmental data/trend analysis and reporting tactics that support Coke FL strategies to be used by the EHSS department. Responsible for managing data for Behavior-Based Safety programs, Regulatory training, environmental waste reduction and EHSS Program Management to maintain and enhance certification to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Certification standards, as well as continuous improvement of key performance metrics through project management and initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with team and functional management, including HR, to manage data requests.

  • Responsible for ensuring effective implementation of site Utilities Management Programs & accurate EHSS metrics reporting. Establish, conduct, and/or respond to safety and health assessments/analyses in facilities (e.g., medical surveillance, worker exposure, WC assessment, enforcing drug/alcohol testing protocol) to minimize health and safety risks. Lead the implementation of the Coke FL's wastewater quality, asbestos, and ammonia strategy including review and approval of suppliers and design firms, compliance tracking and review/approval of designs. Implement, evaluate and/or certify effective implementation of Coke Florida's EHSS Systems. Conduct risk assessments by identifying and assessing potential magnitude of risk (e.g., environmental, safety, regulatory, production feasibility and quality) and creating contingency plans. Prepare for plant emergency situations at sites by establishing medical response program and emergency response organization including management of injured workers

  • Ensure provision of timely EHSS awareness and compliance training programs as appropriate to all levels of operations and management

  • Ensure programs meet all Federal, State and local regulatory and licensing requirements and Coke Florida's policy requirements, and includes assessed site EHSS risks and management of compliance calendars and actions

  • Monitor accident/incident reporting process accuracy and timeliness and track data integrity to ensure Coke Florida leadership has the most precise up to date safety data

  • Engage with internal communications to support EHSS objectives and performance is communicated at all levels.

  • Daily, weekly, monthly, and annual routines to support improved EHSS reporting & analysis.


Technical Skills:

  • Safety: Knowledge of technical practices and programs used in the reduction or elimination of workplace hazards. Includes knowledge of worker safety regulations as they relate to the manufacturing, distribution and sales

  • Environmental Management System Design: Ability to design, develop and implement effective environmental management systems. This includes the ability to coach Associates how to effectively assess environmental management system designs and deployment

  • Environmental and Health & Safety Regulations: Knowledge of local, state or federal environmental, health and safety regulations; how to access and evaluate resources as applicable to facilities within Coke Florida

  • Industrial Hygiene: Knowledge of procedures used to anticipate, recognize, evaluate and control physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic hazards

  • Technical Communication to Non-Technical Audience: Ability to break down or modify complex technical information as needed to communicate it orally or in writing to non-technical staff (e.g., senior managers, customers or consumers). This includes the ability to use analogies/metaphors understood by the target audience to reinforce points. It also includes the ability to accurately read the audience's level of understanding and adjust the message/presentation to deliver it at the appropriate level


For this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant working experience

  • Ability to analyze and determine trends through multiple data sources

  • Excellent written, oral communication skills,

  • Solid time management and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of pivot tables and trend analysis, statistics

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel, Power Point and Visio

  • Extraction and manipulation of data


Additional qualifications that will make you successful in this role:

  • Degree in Environmental engineering or management or EHSS programs is desirable

  • 5 - 7 years of relevant working experience
