Health System Policy Specialist - Full Time, Days (FRMC)

Supports the Hospitals leaders and staff to ensure policy and procedure development to enable full compliance with state licensure regulations, hospital conditions of participation and accreditation standards. Serves as coordinator of electronic policy management system. Plans, develops, implements, coordinates and supports the infrastructure for the development and maintenance of hospital wide policies and procedures. May also support department specific policy and procedure management. Assists policy owners, reviewers, approvers and readers to navigate the electronic policy management system to include functions relating to inception, review, approval and dissemination of policies. Ensures compliance of these policies with a variety of accreditation agencies. May also support the Accreditation & Regulatory Affairs Department in survey readiness activities and special projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities/Duties
Minimum Education: College degree in a healthcare related field (i.e., nursing, medical informatics, healthcare administration). Experience with healthcare policy management may be considered in lieu of degree.
Minimum Experience: Three to five (3-5) years related Healthcare experience required. Experience with healthcare terminology, organizational structure, and healthcare practices. Clear understanding of policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as used in a healthcare environment. Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language, and communicate verbally, electronically, and in hard copy.
