Description: We currently have a fully remote Vendor Allowances Analyst opportunity with a renowned Fashion Retailer.



About the Job:

• The Vendor Allowances Analyst (AA3) role oversees the processing of vendor allowances while ensuring the integrity and validity of such allowances before and after processing in accordance with federal regulations and accounting standards.


• Vendor Allowance programs mainly consist of Vendor Funded Markdowns, Contest Desk and Expense Reimbursements.


• This role is also responsible for educating merchants on allowance regulations and works with them to understand the accounting of these dollars.


• In addition, maintains reporting and analysis of all chargeback deductions and vendor funded markdown dollars.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Prep, track, validate and process all types of vendor funded markdowns & claim allowance accurately by the cutoff date Provide reporting and analysis of all markdowns and vendor deductions
  
  


• Educate merchants on regulations and ensure that they understand and comply with the accounting treatment


• Share in owning entire moderately complex projects as needed and follows projects from start to finish to ensure completion


• Provide guidance and training to support the team, as applicable


• Receives a minimal level of guidance and direction from supervisors


• Ability to use a broad perspective to find new solutions


• Follows set procedures, but able to make moderate changes


• Ability to work collaboratively with a team, along with independently to complete tasks according to a deadline
  
  

Qualifications & Requirements:

• 3+ years of equivalent and job-related experience required
  
  


• Oracle AP and/or Oracle AR, and RMS9/RMS14 & ReIM familiarity preferred


• Ability to manage, organize, and prioritize multiple tasks and large volumes of work within deadlines and with a sense of urgency


• Skill in identifying, researching, and resolving issues using appropriate resources while being fiscally and financially prudent from partial/conflicting data Demonstrates ability to support decision making using a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment


• Ability to lead the team and our business partners by providing direction and expectations on Vendor Allowance processing
