Description: Our client is currently seeking a Jr. Application Developer
Are you a skilled Application Developer with a knack for creating applications seeking to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a bright, enthusiastic Application Developer to be part of a lean team that builds, supports, and maintains business applications.


This job will have the following responsibilities:

• You'll have the opportunity to help develop and maintain our dynamic application environment entirely built on AWS services. The incumbent will contribute to business projects, cloud strategy and design, capacity management, and support activities.
  
  


• Understands Infrastructure as Code


• Experience with AWS services and best practices


• Experience building production-quality applications with TypeScript/JavaScript and Node.js


• Exposure to multiple programming languages


• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and accurately


• Exposure to multiple data store technologies (relational databases, NoSQL databases, graph databases, distributed caches)


• Experience working with distributed messaging, queues, and streams


• Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs


• Hands-on experience with frontend and backend development


• Experience using React or similar frontend library


• Excellent problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities


• Knowledge and experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies


• Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills


• Hospitality Industry experience is a plus.

Degrees or Certifications:


•computer science nice to have, AWS nice to have, but bachelors not required


•JavaScript background


•Flexible, not narrow focus on one aspect of application
