Kollmorgen is currently seeking a Payroll Administrator to be responsible for ensuring accurate processing and recording of Company's payroll, providing timely and accurate financial information and participating in payroll processing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Partner with vendor services to process and issue employee paychecks and statements of earnings and deductions by computing wages and deductions data.
Compile employee time, and payroll data from E-time and other records.
Review E-time, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
Support the implementation and maintenance of new payroll processing platforms, as needed.
Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters, and tax issues.
Complete routine reporting for audit purposes.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
An Associate Degree in Business/Accounting or equivalent experience preferred.
Strong PC skills in Word and Excel including an understanding of backing up and restoration of files.
Strong data entry skills.
Must be able to meet deadlines and deal with the pressures of tight deadlines.
Ability to handle confidential data.
Must be able to maintain effective cross-functional relations with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate with auditors and provide necessary support data.
