Quality Management Coordinator - Full Time, Days (FRMC)

The primary function of the Quality Management Coordinator is to coordinate Performance Improvement activities and peer review involving the Medical Staff.

Job Responsibilities/Duties

• Coordinates hospital-wide performance improvement and risk activities.
• Identifies opportunities to improve quality of care through trend analysis and prepares reports for presentation of performance improvement information and activities.
• Presents the material and provides support in performance improvement and risk activities to medical staff departments, administration, and ancillary departments.
• Responsible for analysis of performance, safety, clinical, and compliance data and information; aggregations and reporting of data and information to effectively analyze and determine opportunities to improve outcomes and/or processes.
• Assists Quality team members in the maintenance of an organizational performance measurement system (quality, clinical quality, patient safety risk management; case management and utilization management) and database, including assisting in the maintenance of the professional staff focused and ongoing professional practice evaluation system); and assist in the compilation of reports, dashboards, scorecards, etc using statistical tools and techniques.
• Assists Risk Management and Quality Improvement Coordinator in peer review activities.
• Provides on-site support (e.g., management inquiries, requests for ad hoc reporting assistance, miscellaneous research, advice on analytic methods) and training to staff.

Minimum Education: B.S. degree in related field is preferred.

Minimum Experience: Two (2) years quality management and clinical experience within the last six (6) years. Ability to prioritize. Knowledge of Performance Improvement Principles. Knowledge of HFAP Standards. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to use computer software programs, copy machines, and fax machine

Req. Certification/Licensure: Current California RN or LVN License or RHIA/RHIT required. CPHQ preferred.
