Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Execute strategic sourcing activities for assigned categories, including: RFQ's, supplier selection, negotiations, and developing and implementing cost savings projects.

  • Develop supply programs and strategies for changes in demand and inventory plans.

  • Actively manage stocking strategies to ensure on-time delivery targets are met.



  • Actively support the management of supplier relationships and performance management.



  • Evaluate current supplier base and develop plan to optimize for current and future needs.

  • Implement and utilize supplier score card tool and manage metrics tracking and reporting.

  • Work with sourcing to track market conditions, pricing trends, and opportunities to maximize purchasing value.

  • Monitor and track purchasing activities for compliance with business needs, including but not limited to incoming Quality, RFQs, Supplier OTD, Purchase Orders and Requisitions.

  • Risk Mitigation focus to identify potential supply chain interruptions and eliminate or limit impact to business.

  • Implement and executes 5S Lean practices to maintain an organized and efficient work area and maintain system data integrity.




Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and abilities:


  • Excellent MS Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficient working in ERP/MRP systems and understanding the interrelationship of functional areas with the system and organization.

  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships with suppliers.

  • Exceptional interaction skills when interfacing with our vendors, and various internal departments.

  • Familiar with Lean principles including exposure to Kanban, Pull Systems, Material Flow concepts

  • Sound knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions and conduct financial analysis.

  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks effectively with customer focus and responsiveness.

  • Ability to effectively present information. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline + 8 years related experience demonstrating progressive responsibility.

  • CPIM, CSCP preferred

  • Project Management/Project Lead experience preferred

  • Low Cost Country Sourcing and International buying

  • Technical Industry experience preferred
