Job Description:

Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will work on operational systems. Operational systems include the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of 3D printers, robots, CNC controls, lasers and cladding heads, thermal spray equipment and guns, PLCs, powder feeders, preheating & diffusion ovens, chillers, vibratory and powder blending equipment, downdraft tables, motors, hydraulic units/cylinders, pneumatic systems, laboratory and other equipment.

Performs basic maintenance of the electrical operating systems of the physical plant. Electrical systems include the maintenance, diagnosis and repair of power supplies, wiring, circuit breakers, lighting, and other electrical devices.

Performs basic maintenance of the mechanical operating systems of the physical plant. Systems include machinery chillers, compressors, dust collectors, valves, hydraulics, domestic plumbing and other mechanical devices. Operate cranes, scissor lifts & fork trucks.

Your Responsibilities:

• Must be available to be "On-Call" during off-shift hours
• Reports to Facilities & Maintenance manager on maintenance status, problems, and deviations
• Performs basic maintenance of the operations systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems of the plant
• Perform daily safety inspections of cranes and forklifts
• Perform daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly preventative maintenance and emergency repair on equipment as required
• Respond timely to facility maintenance requests from internal customers
• Performs housekeeping duties as required
• Maintains facility grounds as required
• Assists with inventory management
• Maintains department housekeeping standards
• Follow all Environmental and Health and Safety Policy requirements
• Available to work overtime when needed (extended shift or weekends)

• Other duties as assigned

• 3- 5 years maintenance experience
• Must be familiar with the general maintenance and repair of building equipment, lighting, electrical power and distribution systems
• Robotic, CNC, thermal spray or 3D printing machine experience preferred
• Must have general knowledge and skills to perform basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical wiring (Welding experience a plus)
• Must have mechanical ability to disassemble and assemble mechanical systems
• Operates lift truck and other material handling equipment

• Ability to read blueprints/schematics
• Must be able to read/comprehend written and oral instruction in English
• Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and management
• Experience in MS Office applications
• Must be able to use measuring tools and electrical multi meter
• Must be organized and pay attention to detail
• Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Must possess effective decision making and problem solving skills
