Your role as a Training Coordinator will help meet the above goals in a dynamic, thoughtful, and progressive environment. In this role, you are asked to be responsible for client engagement and success in support of IACP’s leadership training programs.

IACP leadership services. This position supports IACP’s work by coordinating and maintaining a client portfolio of fee-based leadership training and educational resources for police professionals, which are available for in-person, virtual, and hybrid delivery.

Job Responsibilities

Working with IACP staff, training partners, and stakeholders, the Training Coordinator will:


  • Develop and maintain IACP leadership development courses

  • Identify new ways to enhance IACP course delivery

  • Organize and track training details including progress reports and training and technical assistance information

  • Assist with the development and revision of training, informational, and other training-related materials such as educational handouts, worksheets, evaluation forms, publications, videos, guidebooks, reports, webinars, workshop presentations, and fliers

  • Assess, evaluate, and enhance existing training and resources

  • Create and support training outreach, marketing, and information dissemination including social media and web site postings

  • Maintain event and participant records in accordance with IACP and funding agency guidelines and create required reports as needed. Maintain communication with training team including staff members, subject matter experts, and external stakeholders

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • Two years of job-related experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and other relevant business software

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Analytical skills to include ability to troubleshoot problems from multiple perspectives

  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

  • Strong penchant for collaboration and teamwork

  • Critical thinking and decision-making skills

  • Solid task prioritization, organization, time management skills, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications


  • Familiarity with non-profit organizations, associations, or criminal justice environment

  • Experience maintaining a client portfolio of tuition-based leadership services engagements

  • Experience with and understanding of in-person, virtual, and hybrid education development and delivery

 Special Conditions and Work Environment


  • Travel will be required based on job responsibilities

  • Work takes place primarily in an office environment

  • Light lifting, bending, and reaching may be required
