Job Description:

The Reverse Logistics Center Operations Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the Reverse Logistics Center (RLC). These include the sorting, processing, disposal and fulfillment of customer returns and trade-ins. They provide tactical direction and leadership to a large operations staff to ensure performance, safety and quality requirements are meeting Best Buy’s high standards. The manager must adopt a professional approach with direct reports and engage employees to create an environment of openness and trust. They are responsible for creating and fostering a collaborative environment by building relationships between teams to meet business goals. They must maintain an efficient operation and implement improvements to ensure P&L budgets are met.

Responsibilities:


  • Manages performance of RLC according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Ensures overall SOP compliance.

  • Manages product shrink, performs annual inventory count of parts and manages weekly cycle counts and parts inventory.

  • Utilizes systems and reporting to understand and meet safety, quality and performance metrics while driving cost reductions.

  • Provides direction and leadership to a large operations staff that includes inspection of daily operations, providing support in problem solving and seeking process and system improvements.

  • Develops a behavioral based performance management culture that emphasizes accountability, employee engagement and innovation.

  • Oversees the performance evaluation of supervisors and coordinators on a regular basis.

  • Leads and develops team through employee reviews, development meetings, performance management and employee engagement initiatives while promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

  • Ensures the RLC is staffed appropriately according to business needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3 years of management/leadership experience in the areas of business, military or related field

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to individually lift or maneuver 50 lbs. with or without accommodation.
