Assistant Vice President of Admissions



Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment Services, the Assistant Vice President of Admissions (AVP) is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive recruitment plan for Kean University students, including freshman, transfer, online, graduate and adult learners. We are seeking a dedicated, goal-oriented enrollment management professional to lead the admissions team in promoting new admissions initiatives and programs.



The AVP will oversee day-to-day operations, multiple admissions directors and staff who are collectively responsible for the combined recruitment of approximately 5,000 students annually. Responsibilities include managing admissions and related record keeping activities for Kean's locations in Union, NJ; Kean Ocean in Toms River, NJ; Kean Skylands in Jefferson Township, NJ; and Wenzhou-Kean University, in China. The AVP is a key member of the enrollment services team who works in collaboration with other managers within the division to oversee essential admissions operations and achieve enrollment goals. This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.



Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; six years of progressive leadership and management experience in a college admissions office; and a driver's license valid in New Jersey is required. A Master's degree is preferred. Candidate must have knowledge of computer databases, information systems and new technologies, including social media and higher education CRM systems (experience with Colleague and Recruiter a plus); the ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment; and excellent oral and written communication skills.
