Quality Control Specialist

Come join our Quality Assurance team and contribute to a meaningful mission! We are a medical device component manufacturer, and every day we build products that save and improve the lives of 100's of thousands of patients. Our Quality Team ensures the quality of devices through visual inspection and other required quality procedures. The candidate needs to be able to setup testing and inspection equipment to perform quality evaluations to meet product specifications. The position requires full responsibility for the execution of inspection, the documentation of the results and the proper movement and handling of product. Good written and verbal communication skills are required for interaction with other departments.

Your Responsibilities


  • Perform visual inspection on devices using manual inspection equipment and microscopes.
  • Review of inspection data and generation of summary reports.
  • Prioritization of incoming tasks and helping to meet daily inspection, shipment and quality goals.
  • Setup inspection and handling equipment to meet the requirements for specific inspection tasks.
  • Work independently, troubleshoot and escalate issues as needed
  • Responsible for routine maintenance and monitoring performance of our tools and systems.
  • Work under minimal direction and exercise judgment. Help make recommendations to resolve technical issues
  • Follow released work instructions and receive verbal or written instructions regarding duties to be performed, including special requests with limited documentation.
  • Identify and communicate non-conformance issues during visual inspection, and follow the proper documentation process for non-conformance response
  • Ongoing training and acquisition of knowledge regarding visual inspection with new products and processes.

Your Profile


  • Associate degree or equivalent technical education preferred
  • Comfortable with microscope work, comfortable with extended periods of seated operations
  • Quality assurance, incoming or outgoing inspection of technical products
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good computer skills
  • Good eyesight and ability to work with microscopes
  • Experience with microelectronics preferred
  • Inspection experience/IPC certification preferred
  • Swing shift and graveyard shift positions available
