Senior Supply Chain Analyst (REMOTE) at United Natural Foods Inc in Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Job Description:

PURPOSE:

The Supply Chain Analyst Senior will possess in-depth business understanding to provide analytic expertise to identify needs and develop plans to support Supply Chain goals. The position will assist in driving critical business insights by gathering, reviewing, and testing data, applying measures to provide solutions for key Supply Chain decisions. The position will assist in the preparation of various financial activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting. Collects information from various areas across the company to assist in the building of models to provide insight to underlying business dynamics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in systems/tools and applies to the development, execution, and improvement of analytics by providing best practices advice and guidance to others




  • Builds relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders, recognizing and capitalizing on tactical improvement opportunities, adapting to organizational changes and demands




  • Performs trend and variance analyses, incorporating data from different areas and synthesizes.  Findings incorporate cross functional impacts, trends, risks, and industry news.  Translates findings into process improvements and operational efficiencies




  • Provides insights into business performance using multiple quantitative and qualitative methods and translates findings into potential action plans




  • Completes a variety of financial evaluation research and analysis activities requiring the complication of data and information from sources both internally and externally




  • Takes an active role with process improvements and strategic initiatives spanning cross- functional areas.  Proven ability to analyze complex business processes with cross-department dependencies and provide suggestions for improvements




  • Able to articulate impact of analysis and modeling, providing business decision support on key financial measures (i.e. Gross Profit, Operating Margin, DOH, etc.)




  • Provides key support to the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting of assigned business areas, including variance analysis and sensitivity testing




  • Supports leadership in critical planning and analysis processes




  • Develops and provides ownership of short term (1 year) and long term (3-5 year) forecasting models




  • Demonstrates leadership abilities to articulate impact of analysis and modeling, provide ideas and viewpoints.  Identify and initiate projects, drive resolutions with accountability for results.




  • Conceptualizes and develops business cases, facilitates project meetings and presentations to diverse audiences.




  • Proactively review emerging trends in markets, case studies and relevant topics.




  • Maintains KPIs for assigned areas as needed



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/ Certifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or 8+ years’ experience in financial modeling.



Experience:



  • 3-5 yrs. analytical experience required



Knowledge:



  • Financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience required




  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, and related software applications required




  • SQL experience preferred




  • Alteryx experience preferred




  • Oracle Essbase is a plus




  • Experience with data visualization tool i.e. Tableau, Power BI is a plus

  • Strong critical thinking skills




  • Demonstrated success in multiple, difficult, and complex financial analysis




  • Thorough knowledge of and experience in providing economic, market, consumer and business research and analysis for wholesale industries




  • Outstanding analytical skills (numerical, verbal)




  • Ability to be a team member and demonstrate skills to contribute to team dynamics




  • Capability to work independently when needed




  • Must be self-driven and very motivated




  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with others within a complex, fast paced organization




  • Strong administrative, organizational and relationship skills




  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills




  • Strong interpersonal skills, discretion, diplomacy, and judgment




  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints as well as handle several tasks simultaneously




  • Ability to manage confidential information




  • Strong project management skills.  Must be able to build consensus among cross-functional teams and influence decision making without authority through a partnering approach.
