JOB SUMMARY

Sanding applies filler to bonded structures and sands flat to smooth cosmetic surface in preparation for paint and décor.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES

Maintains and repairs production equipment and tools. Promptly notifies manager of any needed repairs or issues.
Ensures work orders and traceability documentation are maintained and completed for all operations performed per AS9100 standards.
Report any product or drawing defects to quality assurance or other qualified personnel.
Keeps a clean shop free of safety hazards.
Maintains a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Maintains and protects the confidentiality of the Company's information and products.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS - Education, Knowledge, and Experience

Education:

High school diploma: preferred but not required

Experience:

Level I: 0-2 years
Level II: 2-5 years of experience in a fabrication and production assembly environment
Level III: 5+ years of experience in a fabrication and production assembly environment

Note: Job assignments will be based on experience, job opening and budget availability, and the performance level of the incumbent.
Skills:

Various hand tool skills: grinders, drills, hand-held power tools, files, screwdrivers, and wrenches
Finishing skills: sanding, painting, polishing, buff
Ability to work in a team and autonomously

Preferred Skills/Experience:

Fill and Fair autobody collision damage and repair and sanding

Other:

May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as required.
Must show proof of ability to work in the United States.

Direction is provided in terms of tasks and craftsmanship. Work is reviewed upon completion on how well tasks have been completed. Will autonomously work on routine tasks with frequent status updates with supervisor. Will be provided with additional guidance on more complex or non-routine tasks.
