Job summary:

The Metrology and Building Maintenance Operations Manager provides business and strategic oversight for the MMO and Custodial departments, its personnel and operations. The Metrology and Building Maintenance Operations Manager provides technical advice, recommendations, and clarification on procedures, projects, issues pertaining to the equipment, building, and supporting systems. Additionally, the Metrology and Building Maintenance Operations Manager supports other departments with technical advice, recommendations, and solutions with projects, and issues they may encounter to better our procedures, processes, and/or performance. The Metrology and Building Maintenance Operations Manager directly reports to corporate team members on any issues, projects or duties that they may deem necessary.

Essential job functions:

Metrology

• Maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
• Monitor various log books for proper compliance
• Submit reports to management
• Supervise, hire, and train metrology personnel, perform evaluations as required
• System and equipment qualifications as required
• Resolve facility problems
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Audits

• Serve on the audit team for external contractors as needed
• Serve on external audit team as needed
• Serve on internal audit team as needed
• Conduct routine and surprise audits

Building Maintenance

• Provide support for building configuration changes
• Assist with furniture and accessories relocation
• Provide continual building upkeep

Management

• Provide support for company initiatives
• Assist in cost analysis and cost controls
• Interact with QA and other quality departments
• Conduct weekly section meetings

Regulatory Compliance

• Know and follow applicable regulatory requirements (GMP, GLP, ISO, etc).
• Know and follow company policies and procedures.

Professional Development

• Complete required training on time (includes MasterControl, live company trainings, New Employee Orientation, etc.)

Job requirements:

• Successful candidates will be responsible for maintenance, calibration and validations of lab equipment along with overseeing building maintenance and janitorial services. Position requires 5+ years of related and supervisory experience. B.S. /B.A. are required.

Physical requirements:

• Frequent lifting and walking
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.

Education and experience requirements:
