This role is a remote role, allowing for a flexible location.
We're seeking a strategic-minded and highly collaborative individual to join our Enterprise Design team as a UX Strategy Lead. In this role, you will develop a deep understanding of the target consumers of Guardian's digital experiences and build UX deliverables that solve complex customer and business problems. You will work closely with business partners to clarify user requirements and deliver experiences (flow mapping, wireframes, prototypes, and dev-ready designs) that provide satisfying & intuitive solutions using human-centered research, strategy and design principles. You will represent the user as you work closely with technology partners to continually evaluate design feasibility against delivery timelines. This role is the fulcrum between business, technology, and design, and shapes the outcome of every project you touch.
You Will
Conduct and lead experience design projects with a keen focus on consumer/user experience.
Innovate and evangelize modern, digital-first, mobile-first experiences that lead the company to envision new and better ways of working and connecting with customers.
Present, articulate and deliver your design vision through concepting, wireframing, prototyping, scenario modeling, and delivery roadmaps.
Create consumer experience wireframes and flows to demonstrate current and future state experiences.
Partner with team members to plan, design and conduct research/discovery using a variety of methods (e.g. design thinking workshops, co-design sessions, ethnographies, usability testing), synthesize findings and recommend next steps that are consumer-centered and will drive business growth.
Coordinate post-research activities and iteratively design needed artifacts (e.g. high-fidelity mockups, prototypes), working with Product Owners and development teams.
Apply and educate on design principles and business objectives through delivery of work and collaborative partnerships.
Serve as a mentor to peers and team members.
Ensure deliverables adhere to Guardian's brand design guidelines and Design System.
Conduct design reviews to ensure best practices are followed and provide feedback to other designers.
Ensure deliverables are understood and ultimately executable by digital development teams and effectively support agile user story development.
Experience with Figma, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
Experience with contributing to Design Systems.
Must be able to manage several initiatives for different stakeholders simultaneously and work well with changing priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Must be highly collaborative and be able to work in a multi-disciplinary (technical and non-technical) team environment.
Excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills with the ability to translate technical detail into non-technical information.
A proven ability to learn quickly, and coordinate activities in a highly visible manner
Lead with empathy, compassion, and integrity; embrace each moment with kindness, listening and vision; prioritize inclusivity
Understand and apply the importance of accessibility for users with disabilities.
You Have
A bachelor's degree in design (User Experience, Service Design, Interaction Design, Product Design Industrial Design) or 7 years in design experience is preferred.

The primary location for this position is remote, with an "at home" work arrangement.
