Your Role:



At MilliporeSigma, the Associate Validation Engineer is part of the R&D Validation & Applications Center (VAC) team, and tests new products through all phases of the product development process.


  • Work with engineers to develop new test equipment and experimental test procedures

  • Execute written protocols and procedures for performing product and system testing (bioreactors, mixers, filtration products), record and analyze data, drawing conclusions with assistance from engineers

  • Execute test method validations

  • Record data and detailed observations during laboratory tests as well as support preventative maintenance, failure investigation/troubleshooting, repairs and calibration activities for laboratory equipment

  • Perform a wide variety of physical lab procedures/operations and experimental tasks in the laboratory

  • Adhere laboratory notebook policies and keeps high quality records of experimental procedures

  • Comply with all applicable regulations and EHS guidelines for chemical storage, working with hazardous chemicals, and general lab safety




Who You Are:




Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Applied Science or Life Science field




Preferred Qualifications:



  • 6+ months industry experience

  • Experience writing experimental reports, summaries, and protocols

  • Familiar with equipment design, calibration, troubleshooting, and repair

  • Knowledge of biomedical or life sciences related products

  • Familiarity with FMEA/risk analysis, product failure analysis
