Primary Function
The vision systems analyst group is a part of the core technology engineering group at Intuitive. The goal of the group is to deliver the highest image quality to our surgeons for all our da Vinci robot systems. The focus of the group is mainly on the imaging algorithms, algorithmic tuning and calibration of the endoscopes, displays, and illuminator needed to accomplish excellent image quality. The vision systems analyst group works to define the light source, optics, sensor, displays, and algorithms used on the da Vinci robotic systems to ensure high surgical image quality.
The successful candidate will have a strong software development and integration skills and will enjoy working collaboratively with a team. The individual will help drive the software architecture and will be involved in all aspects of the software development cycle: from early prototypes, to optimizing code, to testing and debugging, to integration with the da Vinci® platform, to seeing their product be used in a clinical setting.
This individual must possess a strong ability to work in teams with shared responsibility on complex projects, be motivated to explore new directions, have energy to get over tough problems, and have a strong sense of individual ownership.
No prior medical device experience is required for this position.
