The Mobile Laboratory Technician will be responsible for all aspects of the Mobile Laboratory; this includes routine maintenance/upkeep of vehicle and equipment. The Technician is responsible for the set-up, maintenance and training of all users of the mobile laboratory. The Technician will assist to schedule all on-site laboratories, drive the vehicle to and from the location, and be on-site to assist with equipment set up and troubleshooting, as needed.
Duties & Responsibilities
Ability to meet and deal politely and effectively with the general public, staff, faculty and students.
Takes initiative and works independently ensuring proper management and safety of mobile lab and all academic equipment.
Train and supervise instructors/students on proper use of equipment/technology (assist with set-up and troubleshooting on-site)
Assist Project Director in scheduling of the mobile lab/classroom (provide route information to ensure timely arrivals/departures)
Drive Mobile laboratory and ensures proper set-up and take down.
Maintains inventory of equipment supplies
Plan daily logistics (daily route, time management)
Provide set-up of mobile lab/classroom for each visit (load necessary equipment from campus if applicable, set-up chairs and teaching materials, turn on computers/technology, etc.)
Maintain inventory of equipment supplies and equipment/technology (complete software updates, clean/disinfect, repair minor damages)
Attend and contribute to pre-visit meetings with participants
Other duties as assigned
