Job Description:

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Department of Environmental Services is seeking a Third shift Custodian 1 to provide a safe, clean and healthy environment for patients, guests, visitors and staff of UIHC. Duties include:


Position Responsibilities

• general cleaning duties

• trash removal

• restroom cleaning

• dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and damp mopping hard surface floors

• carpet cleaning

• unit/bed making

• wall & ceiling washing

• furniture moves and room setups

• ability to use various types of custodial equipment in performance of duties


Position may have Bloodborne Pathogen Exposure Risk.

Schedule: third shift 10:00 pm - 6:30 am


Location: University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics - Integrated Services Center (Oakdale Campus)



Rotation: Working weekends and holidays as scheduled


Position Qualifications:


Minimum Eligibility Requirements

• Ability to read, write and follow directions.
  

Desirable Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience
  
• Experience working in a healthcare setting and working with the public
  
• Experience using cleaning equipment
