Job Summary
The First Article Technician, Pricing Assistant is responsible for ensuring product pricing is created based upon Pioneer organizational standards. This role will determine if the provided pricing model is profitable and recommend changes as needed. Once pricing is finalized this role will be responsible for the accurate and timely creation of product route creation within the ERP system.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the sampling process.
Participates in the review of the First Article as required.
Lead quoting activity for repeat or standard finishing products.
Estimating the number of materials, equipment, and labor required for production.
Work closely with customer service personnel to consistently meet our customer needs and demands.
Work closely with the tooling department to ensure the necessary tooling needs are available.
Work closely with Customer Success Supervisor to review time studies, participate in job reviews, and make suggestions for re-quoting when necessary.
In conjunction with the Customer Success Supervisor, engage in product development discussions as the subject matter expert for division operations.
Understand plant capabilities.
Ability to work with all departments to coordinate customer requirements.
Work Environment
Sharp parts, sharp tooling, heavy carts, occasional hot and cold temperature and humidity levels, heat from ovens, moderate noise levels, limited hand and air tool use, compressed air (must use hearing protection).
Must be able to lift 30-50 lbs. unassisted.
Must be able to differentiate between color variance.
Potential splash exposure near process lines.
Responsibilities are repetitive in nature.
Various chemicals are used in the process.

Education/Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Strong technical background in anodizing/EN theory and practice required.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
