The Glenville YMCA is seeking a Full-Time Aquatics Coordinator!
Our Aquatics Coordinator plans, implements, supervises and evaluates programs and staff within the Aquatics Department. They act as department head in the absence of the Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Maintains reliable and organized records for daily pool usage, daily chemical reading logs and ensures meeting of all other DOH requirements.
Assists in the supervision and scheduling of assigned staff.
Provides direct delivery of programs, as needed.
Provides orientation and training to newly hired staff.
Provides program assistance to all members, and staff, including assistance with staff trainings.
Assists the Aquatics Director with planning, development, implementation and assessment of any and all aquatics programs.
Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
Maintains cleanliness of the facility as a member of Clean Team. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum age of 18.
HS Diploma/GED. Some college is preferred.
Minimum two years of experience as a swim instructor and lifeguard.
Minimum one year of experience in a supervisory role.
Current CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications.
Current aquatic certifications (YMCA or American Red Cross).
Basic knowledge of computers.
Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
Pay rate: $18.72 Full Benefits including a free Y Membership!
