What you will do:

The Lean Implementer is responsible, under the mentorship of the Manager, for facilitating daily lean activities within the plant. .  Through implementation of specific action plans, training and advocacy, the Lean Implementer will help to influence the organization to a new culture. They will demonstrate success through increased plant operational metrics performance.

The Lean Implementer will be responsible for using the processes, measurements, standards, and efforts available with the focus areas of lean and continuous improvement.They will support the creation of an inclusive and positive organizational culture.

How you will do it:

• Develops and drives lean activities and advancements including training and execution; through word and action develops an organization that embraces lean and actively improves the operations through the use of appropriate lean methodologies and tools.


• Identifies waste and opportunities for the business to improve in (among others by using Lean principles and methodologies), as well as reporting and celebrating past successes in these areas from a business perspective.


• Lead the cultural change of JCI employees (from firefighting culture to working according to standards), including leadership teams in their Lean competence development by coordinating the necessary training and coaching, and build internal capabilities.  Utilize key Toyota Production System cultural methodologies.


• Ensure that all strategic breakthroughs and Continuous Improvement Plans are actioned through high quality plans tied to Value Stream Maps and Standard Work, and necessary KPI scorecards are in place and well managed to deliver on the key processes which are measured weekly during Tier meetings.

What we look for:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations or related field of study or equivalent work plus 1+ years progression and related experience.


• Solid understanding of business planning processes and key business metrics to be achieved


• Experience in running kaizen Gembas


• Proven track record in change management and influencing skills up, down and across the organization


• Expert knowledge of lean, process improvement and quality management tools


• Project Management skills and passion for continuous improvement
