Friendship Senior Options is currently hiring for Resident Assistants in the Assisted Living Department at its GreenFields Geneva location. Full-time, part-time and Pool shifts available. $3,000 Sign on Bonus for full time and $1,500 sign on bonus for part time. The Resident Assistant will provide support to residents, assist in their physical & emotional well-being, and assist each resident to reach their highest level of independence. C.N.A. not required, but care giving experience preferred. Current CPR Card required.
Summary of Job Duties:
Provide minimal to moderate assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and incontinence care.
Provide assistance with instrumental activities of daily living such as bed making laundry, and light housekeeping.
Provide memory cues as needed.
Perform safety checks regularly.
Recognize and respond to changes in residents’ behavior, cognitive, physical functioning, level of participation, and interaction with others.
Provide emergency services, including CPR, as needed.
Communicate verbal and written information objectively and timely to management team, home health team, emergency response team, and other teams/departments at Greenfields.
Document residents’ records clearly and legibly.
Assist with the maintenance of assisted living records.
Provide escort services at Greenfields, which may include wheelchair transportation.
Participate in social and therapeutic activities on/off campus. Contribute to program design, which includes identifying activities that interest residents; setting up and conducting activities; and cleaning up after activity completion. Provide reminders and encouragement to residents to participate.
Assist in the residents’ dining experience, which includes providing residents with reminders of meal times; escorting residents to/from the dining room; assisting residents in menu completion; serving food and beverages in the dining room; cutting meat; clearing away dishes after the meal; and providing tray delivery to resident apartments.
Orient new residents and families to assisted living.
Attend staff meetings regularly.
Collaborate with team members to assure that the residents are getting the best care at GreenFields.
Assist with light housekeeping of resident rooms/apartments.
Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate, or as may be directed.
