This position’s primary responsibility is to support US tax compliance efforts, including but not limited to: federal, state and US international income tax requirements, provision responsibilities, process improvement initiatives, opportunity to review work of others and assist in managing third party consultant engagements. This position will also have the opportunity to work on projects outside the domestic compliance space as projects become available. This position will report directly to the Tax Associate Director, but will work cross functionally with individuals in both finance and multiple areas of the global tax team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Prepares and reviews tax work papers to assist in the completion of the US Consolidated Tax Return.

  • Coordinates the flow of information to third party preparers and review completed work.

  • Retrieves and analyzes data from systems or individuals and effectively communicates findings to decision makers.

  • Assists in other areas relating to the income tax function including projects to improve processes and effectiveness of current work flows.

  • Reviews and/or performs computations and analyses to support the company’s quarterly and annual financial tax provisions, such as: Perm and Temp tax differences, R&D credit estimates, NOL utilization, and integration of planning and acquisition activity.

  • Researches tax technical issues as they arise in the ordinary course of business or identified during the development of tax planning strategies. Stays current with respect to U.S. and foreign tax law changes and tax alerts.

  • Assist in the development of Team members.

Expected Areas of Competence


  • Possesses a strong understanding of tax principles, as well as an excellent understanding of accounting principles. Experience in domestic taxation preferred. US international taxation and the impacts of US tax reform is a plus.

  • Knowledge of tax accounting concepts such as ASC 740, FIN 18, and other applicable federal tax laws and regulations.

  • Demonstrates strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with all management levels and business disciplines in a multinational corporate environment.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze large quantities of data and use data to improve processes.

  • Proficient-to-advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, preferably including experience working with financial tools and database software.

  • Looking for a self-starter that owns their workload and takes projects to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrate the ability teach others and to provide constructive feedback

Education/Experience Requirements


  • Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance is required. Graduate-level accounting or tax degree is preferred.

  • 6+ years of finance and/or accounting experience, with at least 3 years of tax experience is required.

  • 3+ years of supervising experience preferred.

  • Domestic income tax compliance experience is preferred.

  • International tax compliance experience is a plus.
