At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Motor Vehicle Operator, you will be trusted to work independently and deliver agile solutions. In this role, a typical day will include:

• Executing a full range of standard and unique Customer requirements, while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor




• Expected to safely operate sedans, SUV’s, mini-vans and passenger vans




• Expected to operate shuttle buses and charter buses in support of annual Customer requirements




• The MVO will safely and securely transport Customers based on the requests provided by Dispatch daily




• Verbally acknowledge driving assignments, verifies passengers and communicates with Dispatch any pertinent updates relating to the execution of driver assignments




• Analyze each driving assignment to verify passenger count, location, routes, and vehicle needs prior to executing any assignment




• Motor Vehicle Operator (MVO) will receive Customer requests from Dispatch team and execute the requests in timely, professional and customer service-oriented fashion




• MVO will utilize a table to annotate start/stop times, track movements and provide real-time metrics regarding driver assignments

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma




• 2 years of experience




• TS/SCI w/polygraph




• CDL is required




• DOT certifications must be always kept current




• MVO must adhere to DOT standards and certifications




• MVO is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of current traffic, parking and safety rules




• Must successfully complete and maintain Motor Coach City Driving Training Certification every five (5) years




• Must provide DMV driving records and submit to random drug screening on an annual basis as well as submit to mandatory drug screening after any reported accident
