Position Overview

This position will provide driving support to Proterra’s Greenville Site Commissioning Supervisor and other site leadership team members. You will be responsible for driving buses for road test and customer inspections. This position will report to the Site Commissioning Supervisor and collaborate with other commissioning team members located in Greenville, SC. 

About the Role – You Will:

• Drive buses for road test and customer inspections; report any defects to management immediately.


• Follow all Safety policies and work in a safe orderly manner; report any and all unsafe conditions to management.


• Understand and follow all DOT rules, regulations, and permit knowledge.


• Maintain proper DMV license to drive buses and current medical card; drive safely and obey all traffic laws.


• Will be shuttling employees from one location to another


• Follow instructions given by management and report results.


• Other duties assigned by management.

Your Experience Includes

• High School Diploma or equivalent.


• Class B CDL, clean driving record


• Clean DMV record.


• Physical Demands include;


• Available for various shifts as needed; may be requested to travel to different locations


• Lifting up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds.
  
  
  
  • Able to walk, stand, crouch, bench, kneel, lift, carry and reach as needed in large and tight spaces.
  
  
  • Good eye/hand coordination and ability to identify color variations, depth perceptions and close or distance visual items.
  
  
  • Manual dexterity with occasional repetitive finger motion.
  
  
  
  


• Environmental Demands include;
  
  
  
  • Ability to work in manufacturing environment with extreme heat and cold conditions.
  
  
  • Wear protective clothing or respiratory protective equipment.
  
  
  • Works with irritant chemicals, gases, etc.
  
  
  
  


• Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement, clean driving record, optional but preferred


• Air brake endorsement, optional but preferred


• Land-all, flatbed and heavy equipment hauling experience, optional but preferred
