Role description:

Arcadis is currently seeking a self-motivated, Environmental Field Technician to support our Syracuse, NY office's growing environmental project portfolio. This position consists of 100% field work, with local travel to and from job sites, with some office support. This position requires a hard-working, safe, efficient and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training, working with a team, and able to work independently once trained. It will require work both independently and with other team members and may require periodic overtime and periodic non-local travel. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects and work with a great team.

In this role, you will be a member of a field team who works on a variety of environmental construction sites. This position will be based out of Carteret, NJ but requires significant travel to project sites. You will be responsible for the completion of field-based tasks consisting of:

Responsibilities include:


  • Carpentry (building decks, sheds & stairs)
  • Masonry/concrete work (driveways, sidewalks, patios, steps & retaining walls)
  • Landscaping (laying sod, garden beds, plantings, landscape borders & walls)
  • Installing fence (chain link, wood, vinyl)
  • Paver hardscapes (paver patios, walls & steps)
Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience working on environmental construction sites
  • Oil and Gas experience
  • Experience with construction equipment
  • 40 hour HAZWOPER certified
