Your Mission

As Product and UX analyst you will be responsible for working with the Player Support team to help identify who our users are by examining their behaviors, needs, and environment. Through research and observations, user testing and analytical data, you will surface user pain points and collaborate with product managers, UI artists, and developers on solving problems for internal and external users.

You will also help to analyze supporting systems and functions in order to validate, improve, and maintain efficiency agent/player experience. With a strong knowledge in usability, your role will help influence the holistic experience of our users.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:


  • Create well-defined user personas to effectively identify user needs, goals and observed behavior patterns

  • Partner with the UI Artist and Development teams in building customer journey maps to review and validate established experiences and/or identify new concepts

  • Provide continuous competitive research, leverage industry resources and market trends, discover new techniques or technologies for improving / sustaining quality support

  • Frame user problems, assumptions and validate the effectiveness of proposed solutions

  • Collaborate closely with product managers, data analysts, producers, and developers to ensure delivery of high quality products and services

  • Identify user-testing opportunities, define the scope, goals, methodology and participant criteria

  • Facilitate Usability Testing and work closely with the users (players and agents) to gather feedback to solve for existing issues or enhance customer experience

  • Document results and key findings, present insights and actionable recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Develop or contribute to product functional/UX requirements and User Stories

  • Collaborate with the UI Artist and Development team to create and test low/high fidelity prototypes for upcoming features

  • Keep up to date with new service technology innovation's by working with our supporting partners - within and outside Activision

  • Participate in other special projects as assigned or required

The job holder should be able to travel to attend meetings in each geographic location when needed. Seasonal activity is a given aspect of our business and the job holder is expected to perform under a certain level of pressure during these times.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:


  • 4 years of experience in UX Research with a strong knowledge of current web standards, technologies, and trends applied research setting

  • Experience with research design methodologies (e.g., usability studies, contextual inquiry, surveys, etc.)

  • Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process

  • Ability to leverage data, user testing, competitive / comparative experiences and customer insight to create usability requirements that constantly iterate on products

  • Must be experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment dealing with change

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Understanding of implementing gamification concepts within a support environment

  • Proven experience in customer service, preferably in a contact center or business environment

  • Proficiency in programming computational and statistical algorithms for large data sets
