Schndier Electric is looking for an Architect for the IoT platform team.

As part of the IoT Platform architect team, you will work with engineering, product, and business teams and you will be responsible for desiging and architecting the IoT Platform components focusing on Edge, Data and Analytics. You will provide right level of technical support to the engineering team and eliminate design and architectural bottlenecks.

Duties and responsibilities

• Participate in discussions with customers, along with the product team, to understand their technical requirements.
• Translate the business requirements in to technology requirements.
• Design and architect high performnig and scalable IoT platform compoents (Edge, Data, Analytics).
• Use big data technologies to design , develop distributed, fault-tolerant scalable data solultions.
• Colloborate with internal architect community and ensure organizational best architectural pratices are followed.
• Monitor the system performance of the IoT Platform on a regular basis and tune the system accordingly to ensure the best performance.
• Maintain a high level of expertise in IoT technology landascape and stay current on latest technology, build PoC's, to evolve the design architecture to benefit from the latest technology .
• Lead vendor technology assessments.
• Create and maintain the architecture documents.
• Provide technical guidance to development teams.

• Overall 15 year experience in software design, architecture and development.
• 6 years of experience in designing, architecting the large-scale solutions as an architect
• 4 years of working experience with IoT platforms as an architect.
• Prior experience with designing and architecting IoT platform components that are scalable, high performing, and lower in operations cost
• Proven experience in managing and working with teams based in multiple geograhies.
• Good knowledge of Agile software development methodology.
• Hands-on knowledge of Edge technologies, big data technologies, containers, API designing and implementing is a must.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written) skills.
