Schneider Internship - New Project Purchaser at Schneider Electric USA, Inc in andover, Massachusetts

Job Description:

The New Project Purchaser is part of a product development project team and works closely with the different members within the Offer Creation Process (OCP) and/or the Brand Labeling Management Process (BLMP). This role is key to the coordination of purchasing activities between Global Supply Chain and the business units with a focus on growth and meeting technical challenges through innovation.

Main objectives as NPP:

• Achieve purchasing targets for a part of a project (Supplier Sourcing, Cost, Contracts Time to Market, etc.)
• Participate to project purchasing activities in collaboration with project team members and coordinate by Project Procurement Leader
• Support price negotiations for products, responsible for final resolution of all contractual agreements
• Monitor and ensure competitive material cost to meet product target cost
• Participate in product cost estimation and achieving product cost targets.

Education: Minimum Engineering bachelor degree, or business bachelor degree, master or MBA is a plus.

Job Related Experience: Purchasing/Sourcing team experience in a Multinational corporation would be a plus

Business Understanding: Comprehensive Mechanical (Plastic, Stamping, printing) & Electronics Knowledge with Industrial product application will be a plus.
