We are looking to hire an Ultrasound Technologist for our Maternal fetal medicine Department. This position will support all of our locations including Nampa, Boise, and Caldwell, ID as well as Ontario, OR. Oregon License is required. This is a benefited position. Sign on Bonus and relocation stipends are available.


As an Ultrasound Tech with Saint Alphonsus Health System, you will perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, while accurately documenting the services, supplies, and medications provided to the patient. You will handle scheduling and obtaining patient history, evaluate the appropriateness of requested exams, and assist radiologists. You will also be expected to travel between sites as needed, and respond within 30 minutes when on call.


Our ideal candidate has knowledge of the equipment and instruments/supplies pertinent to high quality exams, and has the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families. He or she is able to work independently and make productive use of their time.



License/Certification Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.


• Bachelor's degree in Science or Allied Health field preferred.


• A Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) required.


• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography with OB/GYN and Nuchal Translucency (NT) registries required, and a minimum of one additional ARDMS specialty required, example:

  • Musculoskeletal Sonographer (MSKS)
  
  
  • Pediatric Echocardiography (PE)

  • Vascular Technology (VT)
  
  
  • Breast (BR)
  
  
  
  


• Registered as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.

Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required
