Job Description:

SUMMARY


Under limited supervision, establish common practices, policies, procedures, and programs that are tied to Talent Development methodologies. The Talent Development Lead carries out the responsibilities in the following functional areas: training and development, compliance, organizational development, recruitment and compensation.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS


* Develop the Talent roadmap
* Design and deliver with limited oversight the practices for Talent Management
* Establish through training, the procedures within Talent Development
* Provide guidance and input on performance management, succession planning, workforce planning and organizational development.
* Responsible for developing and implementing the Performance Review process for all Supervisors & Managers.Assist Leaders in creating robust/agile development plans for succession plans and department staff
* Work with Managers to develop mentorship program
* Coordinate with leaders to identify necessary skills and develop training plans
* Able to bring ideas to fruition on training development


* Foster communication and feedback about performance, development plans, training, next step opportunities, etc.
* Lead regular communication for staff
* Able to lead the vision for Talent Development to include, but not limited to Talent Development projects.
* Monitor external trends on talent and develop leading edge capabilities to engage, develop and retain the best talent
* Network with training and development entities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS


* Regular sitting, standing and walking throughout the day to accomplish tasks
* Occasional sitting
* Manual and finger dexterity used regularly with some repetitive finger motions, and required usage of both hands as needed
* Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
* Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision; able to identify colors, small letters and numbers; hand/eye coordination, depth perception and able to adjust focus
* Hearing and speaking
* Other conditions may include frequent reaching, stretching, pushing, pulling, pinching, grasping, gripping, and crouching or stooping

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


* BA degree in Business preferred or equivalent
* Minimum 3-5 years' experience HR experience specifically in Talent Development required
* Has experience with developing and training programs at all levels including entry, mid and management levels
* Experience writing policy and procedures and can communicate them to all levels in the organization
* Organizational development certification or degree a plus


CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS


Must maintain industry certifications as applicable to position and value stream that is supported. Including but not limited to; IPC-WHMA-A-620, IPC-JSTD-001, IPC-610, IPC-600 and NASA 8739


* PHR/SHRM - CP certification preferred


LANGUAGE SKILLS


Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.


WORK ENVIRONMENT


The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level in the work environment is low to moderate.
