Nursing Continuing Education Specialist at Nemours in Orlando, Florida

Job Description:

The Nursing Continuing Education specialist is a Registered Nurse who will be the point of contact for the enterprise nursing continuing professional development program, including acquisition and maintenance of Joint Accreditation. This includes leading the pre-application process for nursing including aligning site processes and procedures to work within Joint Accreditation guidelines. This includes extensive communication with both nursing stakeholders across the sites and other education stakeholders. This position will also act as liaison for interprofessional continuing education learning management system to identify gaps, issues, processes, and necessary improvements . Responsible for educational needs assessment and implementation of continuing professional development activities. Assists in consolidation and coordination of nursing continuing professional development standards across the enterprise. This position will need to visit all Nemours sites on a regular basis as determined by manager to ensure multi-site visibility and support.

This is a PART-TIME, 40 hours biweekly position, day shift hours.

Essential functions include -

• BSN required at minimum; Masters preferred and required within 3 years of hire
• Active Delaware, Florida, (or compact state) Nurse Licensure Required
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification required
• Specialty Nursing Certification is required
• Preferred Nursing Professional Development or pediatric specialty certification
