B SUMMARY:



Rock Valley (a subsidiary of DuBois Chemicals is looking for a high performing Lab Technician. Responsible for providing technical support regarding the chemistry of products, adherence to quality specifications and compliance to safety.Work hourswill be from 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM (Monday thru Friday) (may vary according to need).Demonstrate the company's core competencies of communication, customer focus, innovation, integrity & ethics, lean & safety,and passion to succeed.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Qualified candidate will be trained to perform routine analysis on lubricants and related products, customer supplied samples as well as assist with technical service projects and troubleshooting


• Tests will include viscosity, density, various titrations, FTIR,ICP, X-ray, and other routine tests and measurements


• Results must be recorded accurately in various electronic forms


• Maintain a clean and professional work environment

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with a laboratory environment.


• Ability to read and follow a written procedure with little to no supervision.


• Proven experience with common chemical terminology.


• Strong organizational skills.


• Able to work independently with limited supervision and in a team setting.


• Able to adapt to sudden changes of a plan.


• Desire to learn and acquire new skills to assist other functions with the laboratory setting.

EDUCATION REQUREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science preferred
