ITT is seeking individuals to operate in a fast-paced, high-energy, start-up environment to launch new sustainable products to market with accelerated commercial success. Flow machines (pumps, fans, compressors) are one of the largest consumers of energy on the planet and account for approximately 35% of global electricity consumption. ITT is developing new technologies in electric motors, power electronics and smart connected devices that reduce energy of flow machines as much as 50%. You will part of the founding team of this new EMD Initiative with opportunities to grow into key leadership positions.
The Product Manager, Strategic Initiative is responsible for the product planning and execution of new products. This position requires a deep understanding of customer experience, defining the product vision, and working closely with engineering, sales, marketing and operations to ensure that the product meets customers' expectations and company goals. S/he will take a lead role to bring new products to market that are focused on sustainability in the field of electric motors and drives.
Essential Responsibilities
Engage with customers to solicit feedback on company products
Translate customer feedback and product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
Work closely with engineering teams to optimize product requirements and time-to-market
Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities
Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
Work with external partners to develop sales tools and marketing collateral
Define the product strategy and roadmap
Set the pricing strategy to meet revenue and profitability goals
Drive new product launches
Act as a leader within the company
Be an expert with respect to the competition
Travel < 30%
Position Requirements
S./M.S. degree, in engineering, business or related field
5+ years in Product Management or Product Marketing Manager
Demonstrated success defining and launching new products to market
Technical background in industrial electrical motors and variable frequency drives
Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
