Position Summary

As the only manufacturer to make digital monitoring standard on every process pump, ITT continues to lead the industry in both mechanical pump design and the adoption of smart technologies.We are seeking a highly motivated Buyer to work in our Seneca Falls location. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage and procure inventory levels required to meet shipment and operations objectives through manufacturing or purchasing procurement. The Buyer will also interface with suppliers and manufacturing personnel as required to meet and exceed customer service requirements. This role will support marketing lead time requirements for models.

Essential Responsibilities

• Manage inventory investment of up to $20 million
• Manage material cost savings with spend of up to $80 million
• Improve on time delivery to customers per GDP goal
• Improve supplied on time delivery per GDP goal
• Create purchase and work orders, modify existing PO's/WO's, and expedite deliveries
• Work with suppliers to balance capacity and requirements to satisfy OTP and inventory levels
• Review, evaluate and make disposition of excess and obsolete inventory
• Manage and reconcile inventory discrepancies and supplier non-conformance issues
• Assist supply chain with supplier relationships by reviewing on a monthly basis
• Work with product managers and planners to develop stocking/pull levels to support market demand
• Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate price and terms with suppliers and recommend based on cost, quality and delivery

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and relevant materials experience is required
• Experience: 1-3 years of related experience is required
• Experience is Lean processes, inventory management and materials/purchasing is required
• Manufacturing background is strongly preferred
• Customer service and expediting experience is required
• Experience with MRP, forecasting and stocking levels is required
• Proficient in MS Office
• Requires initiative, creativity and assertiveness, coupled with strong interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills
• Teamwork and problem solving skills are required
