Position Summary



We are seeking a highly motivated Payroll Specialist to work in our Seneca Falls location. As part of the ITT Corporate Financial Resources Center, the Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing all aspects of weekly, biweekly, multi-state payroll for 3,000 employees in a payroll services environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in multi-state payroll for a large organization and be able to work closely with business partners to ensure accurate of all employee data. This person will be a self-starter who is highly motivated with an ability to multi-task while ensuring the accuracy of each transaction. This person will also be a quick learner who can focus on the transactional process while working independently.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform all payroll processing functions required to process payroll accurately and on time
• Analysis of weekly payroll data to ensure accuracy when processing payroll, including employee data, taxes, and employee elections and benefits
• Assists in maintaining payroll records and reconciliation for general ledger and assists in reporting payroll information to management, controllers, and business units
• Provide wage information for internal and external customers
• Assist and contribute to the implementation of new and existing payroll systems, processes, etc.
• Provide support for Payroll Manager
• Initiate and reconcile payment of deductions paid by Seneca Falls (i.e. United Way)

Position Requirements




Education:

• High School + 5 years experience
• Associate's degree + 3 years of exp
• Bachelor's degree +1 year of exp
• Preferred - Accounting I and II College Level

Experience: 3-5 years of Payroll/Accounting experience in a multi-state, union/non-union environment Preferred experience in a shared services/centralized services environment.



Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• Strong knowledge of Excel and Word,
• Knowledge in ADP Ev5, Kronos or other time collection systems a plus.
• Considerable skills in customer service, communication, problem solving,
• Detail oriented
• Great level of accuracy and confidentiality
