A rewarding opportunity has just been presented for the Associate Chief Nursing Officer ACNO in Western North Carolina! The seasoned inpatient nursing director will be welcomed to the team at this nonprofit healthcare organization.

This 120+ bed short term acute care hospital nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountain range offers a wide variety of medical services to patients in the surrounding areas including: advanced cardiovascular services, inpatient and outpatient perioperative services, mother/baby care, family medicine, oncology services, and more. This hospital is also accredited by The Joint Commission TJC and is a designated teaching hospital.

The Associate Chief Nursing Officer ACNO will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer, and will have oversight of a variety of inpatient nursing services including: the quality department, patient experience, nursing education and professional development, as well as perioperative services and same-day surgery. The Nursing Assistant Vice President will have a number of direct reports, including Nursing Directors in all assigned areas, in addition to oversight of Nursing Managers and Clinical Coordinators. The ACNO will collaborate effectively with all members of the hospital leadership team to meet the long-term goals of the organization, and will practice in accordance with hospital policy and accrediting agencies.

Requirements for this role will include: a BSN Degree; MSN or Master’s in a healthcare-related field is highly preferred. Additionally, 5+ years of nursing management experience in an acute care setting is required.
