Job Description:

Management Concepts is looking for an Editor II to support the flow of communication with and workflow among the Learning Development division. This critical position is primarily focused on editing, copyediting, and proofreading Management Concepts products and other content.

This position requires the ability to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination status, or qualify for a reasonable accommodation, in compliance with Executive Order on Ensuring Adequate COVID safety Protocols for Federal Contractors. Fully vaccinated is defined as two weeks post final vaccination.



DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Reviews and updates version and course materials information in learning management system to ensure proper grammar, style, format, consistency, and adherence to accessibility requirements

•    Refers to style guides and client directions to improve content

•    Maintains close communication with project managers, instructional designers, and subject matter experts

•    Ensures final work products conform to department standards

•    Serves as a sounding board for questions and concerns throughout the Learning Development department

•    Occasionally, coordinates the writing, layout, and dissemination of various materials within various media

•    Other duties as required

PREFFERED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

•    Experience using the Chicago Manual of Style (CMoS)

•    Experience using internal organizational style guides

•    Experience working in a content management system

•    Experience working in a web conferencing platform, specifically Adobe Connect Pro

•    Experience working in a customer relationship management system, specifically Microsoft CRM

•    Experience working with collaboration tools, specifically SharePoint, Microsoft Teams

•    Familiarity with eLearning rapid authoring tools

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•    Bachelor's degree preferred; coursework in English, Journalism, or a related field 

•    Three or more years’ experience editing, copyediting, or otherwise preparing content for publication
