Job Description:

KCAS Bioanalytical & Biomarker Services is seeking a Jr. Technical Writer to assist in writing scientific reports for all departments within operations, the creation of report templates, and any other reporting (such as metrics and KPIs) for Quality Assurance and Operations within a growing organization in Olathe, Kansas. 


KCAS is a contract research organization (CRO) providing bioanalytical & biomarker services to pharmaceutical clients in support of drug development, preclinical and clinical studies.


In this role, we will rely on you to:



  • Become a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, Access, Teams)

  • Draft and finalize scientific reports for all groups within Operations

  • Assist in the creation of report templates for all groups within Operations

  • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory guidelines as related to bioanalysis

  • Attend internal and external expert training workshops as needed

Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, English, or Technical Communications fields, with a preference for a focus on Technical Writing OR other degrees with relevant course work, certificates, OR on the job work experience to demonstrate proficiency is also accepted.

  • Able to maintain a progress chart of multiple projects

Physical Requirements: 



  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.

  • Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
