Are you a hands on, detail oriented individual? Do you have a background in food manufacturing? If so, we are currently searching for a Plant Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the success of our facility in Taunton, Massachusetts.

The Plant Engineer is responsible for outlining the scope of all capex, cost reduction and operational improvement initiatives/projects at Tribe. This role is a hands-on collaborative team member who has a relentless drive for process improvement and goal achievement. Furthermore, this role will model a high level of multi-tasking, problem solving, timely decision-making, independent thinking, and perseverance.

Additional responsibilities will include:

Develop and maintain project plans and coordinate project activities; track critical path milestones, accomplishments and results. Ensure that end-to-end project planning, risk identification, issues identification / escalation, and change management are being managed appropriately utilizing best practice project management standards
Partner with Production and Maintenance teams to streamline the manufacturing process, reducing waste and helping improve efficiencies
Operates within the plant processes, teams and policies
Develop and implement design for PLC control programming, servos, VFD and hardware
Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to Improve manufacturing efficiency
Applies a "go see" discipline in all things.
Gather and provide management with needed information and metrics. This will include; Extract/compare/maintain/analyze data
Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot technically challenging problems (machinery, equipment, processes)
Work with outside vendors and contractors as needed
Provide engineering support in the design, operation and maintenance of plant processes, equipment and facilities
Maintain and update all plant equipment inspections, P&ID's, drawings and diagrams
Build throughput models as needed
Plan preventive maintenance
Participates in Plant leadership forums, huddles, staff meetings.
Develop and implement project management procedures and methodologies to achieve business goals.
