Job Description:

PAPE’ MACHINERY, INC. – AGRICULTURE & TURF DIVISION – DONALD, OR

FIELD MECHANIC:Are you a skilled mechanic? Do you enjoy working independently? Pape Machinery needs mechanics to help keep our clients moving!

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You’ll be in charge of diagnosing and repairing balers, combines, windrowers and tractors at customer locations. This includes:

• Analyzing and diagnosing (troubleshooting) equipment malfunctions or failures.


• Repairing, replacing, and/or rebuilding engines, transmissions, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components, electrical systems, and air systems.


• Determining correct parts needed to complete the task and order in a timely manner from the Parts Department, as well as, returning all unused parts in a timely manner.


• Communicating in a courteous and effective manner with customers regarding all aspects of the work being performed.


• Maintaining driving record in accordance with state laws.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• At least three years of experience working on all makes and models of Agricultural equipment in the field.


• An assertive personality, and the ability to work without direct supervision


• A driver’s license with a good driving record is required and a Class B CDL is a plus!
  
  

Starting Compensation: $25-30/hr (Depending on Experience)
