Scope

 

This position reports to the Global Head of Residential. As the International Personal Lines (IPL) Analyst for Residential, you will contribute towards the management of Chubb’s Residential business, currently spanning 18 countries across Asia Pacific, Latin America, and Far East regions.

This position is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office/ 2 days remote.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 


  • Reviewing and developing recommendations on Residential underwriting opportunities.

  • Supporting international Residential colleagues (at regional and country levels) to develop underwriting referrals, analyze data, and execute on key tactics.

  • Collaborating with international colleagues in functional groups (such as Actuarial, Finance, and IT) to advance the interests of IPL Residential.

  • Using insurance industry and general business knowledge to further our development goals across the globe, and helping us meet and exceed plan in each market.

  • Managing and developing reporting tools to support Residential business, in collaboration with IPL portfolio management team. This includes monitoring data to proactively generate business insights.

  • Developing reports and presentations to meet reporting needs and effectively communicate key aspects of the IPL Residential business.

  • Contributing towards the development of white papers and underwriting guidance related to the IPL Residential business.


  • Contributing to IPL Residential country audits, which ensure that technical standards, controls, practices and procedures are implemented across each IPL Residential market.

  • Managing the underwriting authority annual attestation process relative to the Residential portfolio.

  • Performing ad hoc analyses to assist with the management of the IPL Residential business.


  • Contributing to other projects and initiatives across IPL, as directed by the Global Head of Residential.


  • An undergraduate degree, with at least 3-5 years of insurance experience .

  • Familiarity with the Personal Lines Residential insurance business is preferred (products, coverages, etc.).

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization, including senior executives.

  • The ability to effectively work independently and with established teams.

  • The ability to analyze data and make informed decisions in a reasonable time frame.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Proficiency with all tools in the Microsoft Office suite, including advanced experience with Excel.

Experience with Microsoft Access, SQL, and Qlikview is preferred.
