Arconic is currently in search of a HR Generalist to join our Lafayette, IN facility.
The HR Generalist is a member of the human resources team and is responsible for hourly recruiting, new hire orientation, managing electronic and paper personnel files, employee communications, payroll, and other HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate all aspects of internal and external recruitment and selection processes for hourly positions
Coordinate, update, and deliver the new hire orientation program
Manage hourly probationary review process
Manage headcount for hourly workforce
Facilitate mass employee communications under direction of HRBP
Responsible for payroll functions for assigned departments and backup for Payroll Coordinators
Maintain personnel file room according to Arconic data retention standards
Facilitate summer intern program
Work with Community Liasion to support the community's needs and promote a positive view of Arconic
Complete annual Affirmative Action Report by deadline and inform HR team of findings
Establish and maintain a high level of employee interaction and focus to identify improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to solve business issues
Perform special projects, report requests, or other duties as assigned or requested by other members of the HR department
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution 1 year of experience in an HR role (internships will count towards this requirement) Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Organizational Development from an accredited institution
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with emphasis on Excel Experience with Oracle employee record system
