The Automation Engineer is a level IV position for someone with strong previous experience in a EPC environment focused on automation engineering packages. Projects will be executed in a multidiscipline team environment. The position reports to the Electrical and Automation Engineering Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produces deliverables as required to fulfill project needs as part of a team of automation engineering and instrumentation team. Project deliverables will include, but are not limited to: PLC system specification Network diagram configuration and equipment specification I/Os List /equipment specification. Elaborate all PLC and I/O cabinets' drawings for sub-suppliers quotation RFQ and RFP, etc. PLC and HMI system programming and configuration specifications.
Participating in meeting with sub-supplier to provide technical clarification.
Participate and assist in witness tests, FAT, packaged equipment, E-houses, analyzers, and control panels.
The Position reports to the Electrical and Automation Engineering Manager.
Assist on-site with construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position will have no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Your profile
Required Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's of Science in an Electrical or Electronic or Mechatronic Engineering disciplines.
Required Technical Knowledge:
Rockwell ControlLogix Configuration and Programming.
SIEMENS PLC Configuration and Programming.
Desired Experience:
The experience requirement for this position is a minimum of 7 years in petrochemical, refining, material handling, cement and / or mining industries.
Prior participation and experience in projects, commissioning, and start up in petrochemical, cement and / or mining industries.
Participation in international projects and commissioning.
Additional Qualifications:
POLCID Automation system will be very appreciate.
Knowledge and use of AutoCAD and EPLAN is required.
