The selected candidate will do the following:
Manage multiple hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold, universal wastes, etc.) projects simultaneously for both government and private clients, including surveys, preparation of technical specifications, and third party oversight work.
Track, manage, prepare, and review proposals.
Track, manage, prepare, and review a variety of asbestos technical reports including technical specifications, health and safety plans, air sampling plans, survey plans, and oversight reports.
Apply federal, state, and local regulations related to hazardous materials and occupational health and safety to the performance of project work.
Provide on-site third party oversight of abatement contractors, including assessing compliance with regulations, conducting visual clearance, and collecting air clearance samples.
Conduct sampling efforts.
Job Requirements:
This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of related experience. The ideal candidate will also have experience with:
Preparing a variety of technical reports related to hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, mold, universal wastes, etc.) , including technical specifications, health and safety plans, air sampling plans, survey plans, and oversight reports.
Providing on-site third party oversight of abatement contractors, including assessing compliance with regulations, conducting visual clearance, and collecting air clearance samples.
Federal, state, and local (where applicable) hazardous materials, hazardous wastes and occupational health and safety regulations.
Knowledge and experience with specialized equipment/instruments to measure hazards such as airborne contaminants.
In addition:
This position requires you to drive on a regular basis. Passing a motor vehicle record background check and maintaining a valid driver's license and good driving record is required.

Degree / Certifications
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
Current AHERA Building Inspector, Management Planner, Project Designer, and Contractor/Supervisor
State certifications (where applicable) in CA, HI, OR, WA, ID, AK and/or CO preferred
NIOSH 582 certification preferred
State and/or EPA Lead certifications (inspector, assessor, project monitor, supervisor) and current lead training refresher
Current 40-hr HAZWOPER certification
Work Environment
Physical Demands can consist of standing for long periods of time when off-site, or sitting when in office.
Extensive travel may be required to oversee multiple workplaces/sites, potentially up to 50%.
Need to be able to conduct field work and site assessments.
Need to be able to climb ladders
Need to be able to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs
Can be exposed to toxic environment with hazardous materials
Will be working in construction sites when off-site
Must be able to work in all outside environments, both hot and cold weather.
